I have recently found out that my ggg-grandfather's name was Joshua Case.
His children were born in Tusten, Sullivan Co., NY between 1823-1829. Their
names are Warren Leonard, Chancy, Harriet, and Sacket Case. All were born in
Tusten (then part of Lumberland), Sullivan Co., NY.
There is a Joshua Case living in Lumberland, NY in the 1830 census. No sign of
him in the indexes before then.
I suspect he may be the Joshua Case b.1785 son of Jonathan Case and Alche
Cronkhite of Rensselaer Co., NY but only because he is the only Joshua I have
spotted on the net with a reasonable birthdate. Wonder if anyone on the list
has a little more evidence to go on.

And just what CASE line are you associated with "cousin"??
Sounds like an 'ad' to me...

Oh, Edee -- you suspicious thing. No, my dear, I was being perfectly honest
and forthright. There's been so much talk lately and I've never seen
anything about the Trojan Horse mentioned, so I thought it might be
worthwhile to pass this along to others. From the response I've received
privately, apparently it was well received. And others have been kind enough
to share bigger and better virus protection programs with me.
Oh, yes. I descend from John and Sarah down through Daniel Wilcocks CASE and
Candace ROOT?/HIGLEY?

Hi, Cousins,
I know this is off-topic, and if you're annoyed at me for this, I'm sorry,
but I feel we need to help protect each other whenever possible.
With the recent virus scares going around, I thought I ought to share this.
Several weeks ago I received a Trojan Horse-type virus from a fellow lister.
Fortunately, my now two-year-old virus program caught most of it. There was
an occasional odd little glitch here and there that bothered me but I had
no idea what was going on until I later heard from this person who told me
she had inadvertently passed this virus on and referred me to a website with
a program that might help remove it.
It did work! Thank goodness. And I want to share it with you. It's a
Trojan Horse Remover and there's a 30-day free trial offer.
The website is www.simplysup.com/tremover
My sister was also having some kind of problem with her computer. They had
tried a number of things but it kept getting worse. I sent her this info.
and it found a Horse somewhere in her Windows setup. All is well now.
Stay healthy -- you AND your computer -- and have a Wonderful New Year.
