Got this from another list--Thought I would share it......Lois
Dear Abby,
I have always wanted to have my family history traced,
but I can't afford to spend a lot of money to do it.
Any suggestions?

<< I am looking for information on Asenath CASE who married
Philemon CHANDLER in Bethel, Oxford Co. ME in 1801 and
Lavinia CASE who married Jacob CHANDLER in 1807. Philemon
and Jacob were brothers. Were Lavinia and Asenath sisters?
These folks were all residents of Albany, Oxford Co. ME.
Philemon moved to Antrim, Hillsborough Co. NH ca 1816. It is possible
that Jacob had moved there prior to 1812 but I don't have any proof of this
yet. I suspect, but haven't yet proven, that Jacob CHANDLER died by
1812 and Lavinia remarried to William BUTTERFIELD in 1812. The
History of Antrim book calls her Lavinia CASE but her actual
marriage record, which I have, calls her Lavinia CHANDLER.
I welcome any input on this.
