Hello, Amy,
Is Jacob Thomas Case a descendant of the Simsbury, Connecticutt
or Hoosick, New York Case ancestors?
I have two separate data-bases of Case/Cass/Casse surnames. One
is listed as descendants of Martha Philbrick and John Casse and the other
is from the Simsbury line (of which I descend).
I'd enjoy sharing info if we can find a common ancestor to give us a
starting
point.
THANKS! Bob boblin(a)bright.net

Hello all CASE researchers. Hope you can HELP me with this one.
I found my Dr. John Knox Stimpson Case, b. 1840, Buncombe County, North
Carolina, on the 1850 BUNCOMBE COUNTY, NORTH CAROLINA, census with the
following:
JESSE CASE, age 19, farmer - HEAD OF HOUSEHOLD.
JAMES CASE, age 18, laborer
CIVILIA CASE, age 17.
REASON CASE, age 13 (male).
SARAH J. CASE, age 12.
JOHN CASE, age 10. (MY GREAT-GRANDFATHER).
LEVI H. CASE, age 7.
Mo.??? , CASE, age 3 (male).
CYNTHIA CASE, age 3 (twin).
LOUISANA MILLS or WELLS, age 20.
Wm. WELLS, age 2/12ths.
I believe all these are siblings and that Jesse Case (no female listed with
Jesse), is raising these children. Believe Father and Mother were deceased
by 1850. ANY help on who the "Father" and "Mother" are of these children
would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Carole

Yes I am still looking, in fact I just started today, so any help I can get I
would be enternally greatful!!! Where was Jacob from? My father was THOMas
J. Case, son of Lack & Bassie, I have no other info on my great grandfather
Case or anything. I was not close with this side of my family because of a
divorce between my father and mother. But I am so interested in finding out
more. What ever you would like ot ask, do so. I am not sure how to even do
all of this yet. Still just a premature baby at it. Thanks for writing and

NOTES: John Knox Stimpson Case was a Physician in Henderson County for many years before moving to Greenville, S.C. about 1903. On the 1880 census of Transylvania County, he and Josephine are living with a King family. The census also shows that he and his parents were born SOMEWHERE in North Carolina, but it was not HENDERSON or TRANSYLVANIA Co., North Carolina. The 1850, 1860, and 1870 census of Henderson and Transylvania (formed abt. 1861), do not reveal that Dr. John's parents came from this area.
