Does anyone have any information about the Ezekial Case found in Pierpont,
Ashtabula ,OH census index in 1850 ? I beleive he had sons Murcus H and
Forrest.
Hi everyone
My family seems to have sometimes been Case and other times Cass.
My grandmother was definitely Cass as in 'glass' rather than Case as in
'face'. Has anyone else found this variation? (apologies if this has been
discussed before' I'm new to the list) As at least one of my Cass ancestors
came from Ireland, and many of my ancestors were illiterate, Cass would
probably have sounded like Case to the registrar anyway, hence the variation
within the same family.
For anyone who missed my earlier posting here it is.

You didn't give any dates which would help. I have a Norton CASE 1802-1879
Mauree,OH m. Jeanette GILLETTE. His g-son Norton Elisha CASE b.1873 MO.
Don't show a wf (2) for Norton, but he was ae 28 when first ch b.with
Jeanette.
So could have had wf (1) bef Jeanette.
