Linda I noticed your reply to a Gary Hankins on 3/6/99 Regarding Samuel Case
and Preble Co. OH. I e-mailed you at that time but didn't get a reply. I
think I addressed it incorrectly but it never came back rejected. At any
rate, I have been researching the Case family in Preble and Butler Counties
OH for over 12 years. It is mighty confusing because there are at least two
and perhaps more unrelated Case famililes in the area. Because of your
interest in Samuel Case (which is not my line), I asked if you were familiar
with the following probate case I had a copy of the abstract but couldn't
find it in March . This morning I did find it and will transcribe it here
for you. It was abstracted by Audrey Gilbert of the Alexandria OH Archives
from the Preble County OH Common Pleas Court Records, Chancery D
"May 1825 Samuel D. Case vs. Giles Davis, Henry McMillian and Polly
McMillian. In Chancery. Filed 12-11-1820. Disposition: Samuel Davis alias
Samuel D. Case, the son of Polly Davis now Polly McMillan, late Polly Case,
and born before her marriage with Samuel Case, now deceased; that his mother
was left a widow with a large family of small children, the offspring of
Samuel Case. His mother assigned him 220 Acres of land lying on Village
Creek in the State of Indiana. That after his mother, Polly Case married
Henry McMullin, he went to live with Giles Davis, his grandfather and father
of his said mother." (173) This shows that this Samuel was not the son of
Samuel Case married to Polly Davis ALSO THIS NEXT ABSTRACT
"Mar. 1833 - Peter Case and Nathaniel Case vs Mary McKillan et al. Petition
for Partaition. Filed 3/19/1832. Land, NW1/4 Section 12, Township 6 Range 2.
Samuel Case, dec'd. Widow, Mary now the wife of Henry McMillan. Children:
Peter Case, Nathaniel Case, Nancy late Case wife of Eli Davis, Elizabeth late
Case wife of Andrew Goble, Rachel late Case wife of Thomas Goble, Hannah late
Case wife of David Demoss and Aaron Case." (327) I hope this will help
your research

I wonder what type of decorations this list is for, because my Daddy
isn't listed here and I know he received medals during both those wars.

I am interested in contacting anyone who might have knowledge of ANNE CASE
who married ZENAS (Tenas) NASH in Ashtabula County OH about 1833 and/or of
JOSEPHINE CASE born about 1843 in OH ?where?
JOSEPHINE was living with REBECCA and ALEXANDER DAY/RAY and ZENUS and
MARCIA NASH in Mechanicsburg, OH (Champaign County) at the time of the 1860
census.
Is there a relationship between any of these families?
Any help will be appreciated.
Thanks.

I am currently carrying the wife of Augustus as Elizabeth Dickinson Youngs?
(question mark included). I have failed to find my source.
Thanks, Wilhelm
Anyone else have the real scoop?

I hope you can figure the ways I´ve shortened the data, to fit in my
program. If you´re familiar with the way the old census looked it should
be no problem, also the land description has been taken from the
originals.
I talked my 12 year old son into typing this.

It seems unlikely,in view of large Case families, but I have found only one

did not show up in your message. Yes, I can import GEDCOM files. I have
