Makes Out Order For Post -Mortem
Chief Coroner Graham Deems Action Advisable in Cascadden Case
Man Died in Ambulance
Taken seriously ill from the effects of what is reported as an overdose of strychnine,
James
Cascadden, aged 75, died early yesterday morning while being removed in an ambulance
from the Daly House to St. Michael's Hospital. Three days ago Cascadden registered
at
the hotel. On his return there late Monday night he was taken ill, and was carried to his
room.
His condition became critical, and, on the advice of a doctor, he was taken to the
hospital. Chief
Coroner G. W. Graham has ordered a post-mortem held. An inquest, he said, would not be
held.
The late Mr. Cascadden was born in the Village of Orono, Clarke Township. For some time
he had
been living with a nephew, W. A. Gibson, at Newcastle.
