Hello everyone,
Since the list has been a bit quiet lately, and a number of new members have
subscribed, I thought it would be a good idea to do a roll call. If
everyone would list their earliest Cascadden ancestor, and then trace the
line until the Cascadden name dies out (or as far as you are comfortable
with), maybe we can find some connections.
All of these messages will be stored in the threaded archive on rootsweb,
and will be available to search later.
I will start with mine:
Alexander CASCADDEN, b. before 1782 Ireland; d. shortly before 14 May 1851
in Malahide Township, Middlesex (now Elgin) County, Canada West (now
Ontario). Married Nancy BALE/BAYLE about 1807-8. Nancy was born before
1796, probably about 1790, in Pennsylvania and died after 9 September 1854.
It would appear that Alexander's brother, William H. Cascadden, married
Nancy's sister, Elizabeth Bayles.
Elizabeth CASCADDEN, daughter of Alexander and Nancy (Bale) Cascadden, was
b. between 1812 and 1815 in Middlesex (now Elgin) County, Upper Canada;
married 22 June 1834 in London District, Upper Canada to Aladdin Perrin
STEVENS. They moved to St. Clair County, Michigan before 1850. She died 3
September 1874 in Port Huron, St. Clair Co, Michigan
