Hi Jeannine
I haven't anything new to contribute - have been busy with the Scottish
(Ramsay) side - my daughter and I spent 2 weeks there last summer -
heard/saw 8000 (yes that's right!) pipers and drummers in Glasgow at the
International Pipe Band Competition (which the Canadians won! - Simon
Fraser Univ, from B.C.) What a sound - if you like pipe bands! Spent some
time in the Scottish Archives, Registry, and Family History Centre in
Edinburgh.
Did you complete your forensic studies? What are you up to now?
Will be interested to hear about your trip!
All the best,
Marg Couse

Subject: [CASCADDEN] Anyone traced the line to Ireland?
Things have been a lil quiet on this list. Hope all is well. I'm
getting
ready for a trip to the library in Salt Lake in a week in preparation for
our trip in MAy to Ireland and hopefully a little bit into Scotland. I was
wondering if anyone has been able to trace anything beyond what we've
heard about William Henry Cascadden :"The first Cascadden ancestor,
William Henry Cascadden, was born 1773 in the Parish of Drumholm, County
Dunegal, Ireland. He arrived in Baltimore, Md. with his brother, Hugh, in
1790."
(Although we know that he was in PA with his brother Alexander). Just
thought this posting might be worth a shot in the dark!
Jeannine
