Hi Listers .... Need some help (again). Is there a Montreal newspaper
source, especially obituaries? I'm trying to find out what happenned to my
Grandfather, Arsene CAZAVAN. He seems to have disappeared. Can't find. Here's
what I know.
Arsene died 24 Sept. 1892 in Montreal per the Family Bible as recorded by my
Father. He was buried in the Casavant/Cazavan plot, his father purchased at
Nore Dame des Neiges Cemetary, 2 Oct. 1893. The 1893 date is per the
Cemetary's record. Error? What happenned between 1892 and 93? Strange. That is all
I've been able to uncover. No family left to discuss this with.
Arsene married Malvina FRECHETTE on 29 May 1871 at Notre Dame, Montreal.
Malvina died the following year, 25 March 1872, 6 days after my Father was born.
Very sad. What did Arsene do the next 20 years? Apparently never remarried.
I'm hoping an Obituary or newspaper clipping would clear this up. I'd like
to know what happenned to my Grandfather, Arsene.
Any suggestions where to look on-line?
