Frances Lockert married Henry Willey of Santa Cruz in San Francisco. Mr. and Mrs Willey
resided at 105 Sylvar Street, Santa Cruz, which I think is one of the homes of
architectural interest in the Mission Hills area. According to the 1910 census records,
Henry (owner of hrdwr store and City Councilman) and Frances had two natural daughters,
Ruth L. and Margaret F., and two adopted daughters, Isabelle and Henriette. Ruth married
Walter Bonnard Snook in 1922 and I have found one son, John Cedric Snook II b. 11 Jan 1924
d. 1970. Frances died in 1954 in Santa Clara. Ruth died in Feb 1985, last residence
MiWuk Village, Tuolomne, CA.
I have found reference to an article which may give a lot of information on the
descendants of Henry and Frances if it is reference to this family. I anyone could take a
look at the article which should be on file at the library and see if it refers to the
above family I would greatly appreciate. This article was ?written by Margaret Willey
Milbank (is she the daughter Margaret?) . It appeared in the Santa Cruz Sentinel, 1968
Jan 14. "Mission Hill: the Willey girls grow up". The same or following week
there was an article about the house on Sylvar Street which ws used as an example when
seeking status for Historical District designation.
