Subject: Kepler and Crane
Obituary for Nelson Crane who died at 158 S.
Branciforte Ave., Santa Cruz on
June 21, 1933 states this was the home of his
daughter, Sue Kepler.
His death certificate shows Sue Kepler as the
informant and states he was a
widower whose wife had been Anna Moore.
I know that Nelson came out of Kentucky sometime
between 1900 and 1910 and
was a widower by 1910 according to the census. His
wife was known to have
been Anna Moore, but it is not known when and where
Nelson and Anna are known to have had six sons by
1900, these being born in
Indiana and Kentucky. There is no record of a
daughter named Sue.
I am seeking further information about Sue Kepler.
When and where she was
born ... names of her spouses and children, etc.
I know a lot about Nelson Crane's lineage before he
left Kentucky and am
always happy to exchange information. He was brother
to my great-grandmother.
