Dear Patricia,
Thank you for your reply. "Your" Casagrande came from Cinqueterre. That is near
by of "my" Casagrande, but are not "my" Casagrande exactly. They came,
as far as my information are, from Moconesi, which is in the mountains of Liguria (above
in the hills of Cinqueterre where it is not so nice as at the coast. For them I am
looking for, because they had a daughter, who was" musician "in 1867 what ever
that means at this time. I believe - may be I am wrong - this "musician" talent
comes from Iwho the Casagrande line.
I read there from somebody, also in the message board that anestors of Frank Sinatra were
also Casagrande. When I read one book about Sinatra, I saw that the grandmother 's
name (from his mother's side) was Garavante or so, but not at all Casagrande.
on the other side: The mother of Sinatra came from Genoa. Anyway, it is all very
difficult.
Yes, I know this talent of making Pesto and being proud of making it. But there are
people also in the mountains of Moconesi who are realistic enough to know that you can by
it in every Supermarket. But:: The self made Pesto is much better than this from the
Market! Could you agress with me?
Thank you once more and best wishes from Germany: And if you have some further
information about Casagrande, I would happy to hear from you.
