Jay,
I was reading over your list of family ancestors and had a few questions.
When your family came to the US, exactly where did they settle? I am
researching the Cary's that ended up in Orange County, NC. They were
mostly
farmers. I have been unsuccessful in establishing were any further
generations came from. The oldest Cary named Samuel had a will in early
1800's that named his three sons as Benjamin, Thomas, and Gregory. There
is
also an Elisha Cary with a will in 1818 in Person County. I have not
retained a copy of Elisha's will yet. My gggrandfather was Jordan Cary
born
1805. Have you ever heard of any of these names before or do you know
which
Cary's settled in NC and when? I would appreciate any help you
can give
me.
Thanks,
Wendy Randall
