I am trying to find out the line for George Carey and have this bit of new information.
His parents resided at Harvey's Lake, PA near Wilkes-Barre. He married in 1953,
Sarah Fell Carpenter in or near Wilmington, DE. I think they were distant cousins
because:
Sarah Carpenter's grand parents were Benjamin Gardner and Harriet (Price) Carpenter
of Wilmington, DE. Benjamin's brothers were Robert "Ruly" Carpenter and
Walter Samuel Carpenter, both employed at DuPont. The three Carpenter brothers were from
Wilkes-Barre, PA as was Harriet Price. She was the daughter of Henry Clay and Anna
(Carey) Price. Anna Carey's line is John Cary (1) of Bristol, Eng and West
Bridgewater, MA, Francis, Samuel who removed to Bond's Bridge, Dutchess Co., NY,
Joseph, Barnabas who with his uncle and cousins moved with the Susquehanna Company to
Wyoming (Now Wilkes-Barre, PA), Barnabas, John, Frederick who married Susan Getts of Mauch
Chunk, PA, and Anna. Anna (Carey) Price's daughters Jean (Price) Evans (Mrs. Arthur
W. B Evans), and Helene (Price) Evans (Mrs Jack K. Evans) had a home or homes at
Harvey's Lake and were neighbors of the parents of George Carey.
Does anyone know the line of George Carey of Harvey's Lake?
