Please let me join in with the Barnabas ancestor. I have THREE of
them. On our John Cary's death certificate, his father, Barnabas, born
Attleborough, MA and mother, Phebe Danforth, b. Williamston, MA. In
Seth Cary's book, JOHN CARY, THE PLYMOUTH PILGRIM, this Barnabas d. 4
Feb. 1834 and Phebe was b. 1767, d. 1843. Both died in Medway, MA.
Barnabas's father, Barnabas, was b. 1733 and d. 1795 in N.H. He
married Mary Short. His father was Joseph, son of Samuel, son of
Francis, son of John of Bridgewater.
Barnabas and Phebe, according to Seth Cary, had 11 children, and
one of them was a
"Barnabas, b. Aug 10, 1800, Pawtucket, RI; m. Kezia Green, and d. Sept.,
1850, on the way to California." The other children were born in
various places, Medway, Medfield, and Attleboro MA, all quite close to
RI.
If this fits at all, please, let's see if we can put everything
together. I don't seem to find Elihu mentioned anywhere.
