Hello all Cary/Carey researchers. Some important information. Save this
message until you have time to read it all. I have added a few things to
help make our hobby easier.
1.
Rootsweb/Ancestry.com has a Cary-L, a Carey-L, a Cary Message Board and
a Carey Message Board. In addition there is a Clan Cary board for Scottish
lines.
2. I have arranged for the admin of the Cary Message Board to open the
gateway between the board and the list so that our Cary-L gets a copy of ALL
postings from the Board. This should start by Thursday, May 15th.
3. I have added new tag lines to the bottom of all messages to include a
listing of all/any sites (that I know of) that contain a large amount of
Cary/Carey info on them. If you know of other reputable sites, please
advise me and I will visit and add them.
4. I have also added a tagline at the bottom of all messages that will link
to the Cary-L and the Carey-L searchable archives of past list messages.
5. I have also been in contact with the Carey-L admin (who subscribes to
our list too). If your Cary/Carey research uses both spellings, I encourage
each of you to subscribe to the Carey-L also. Do this by sending a message
to: Carey-L-request(a)rootsweb.com
with the word subscribe in the body.
6. We currently have 177 subscribers between Digest and List mode.
That is all for now. Check out the new taglines below. As most of you
know, I am a school teacher so I am coming up on the time of year that I
work on (try to catch up on) my Cary/Carey site and my Wayne County, PA
site.
Thanks,
Lisa Carey L'Archevesque
