I finally got another clue in my search for more information on my
grandmother, Ila Ernest CAREY.
At the library last night I finally found her and my grandfather in the 1910
census for Arkansas. I am 99% sure this is my family. The census record
had my grandfather as Harry H. WRENN instead of Harry M. WRENN, but he was
the only Harry Wrenn in the census records for that year that I found, and
the ages were right. It had her as Ida E. instead of Ila E. The children
were Helen S. which would be Helen Sarah, and Charley F. I have him as
Charles W., but that is a minor point. So I am almost positive this is the
correct family.
Anyway, the record showed her as being born in Tennessee. So, would those
of you who have Careys in Tennesse in about 1883 see if you can find any
connection to Ila.
When I returned, I got on the LDS site and found someone had submitted
records on Harry and his ancestors. But, sadly, any more information about
Ila was not to be found. But, at least I did get the name and address of
the submitter. A letter went out today to him. Who knows, he might have
something else by now.
I did have some trouble at the site. I would get messages that the server
had reset the connection, so I did not get to follow all the links to see
what information was there that I did not have. Better luck later.
