I am researching the Cary's of NC, especially Orange Co, Alamance Co., Person
Co, Franklin Co., Granville Co, and Nash Co. The Cary's of Orange, NC
appeared in 1795 from Maryland and left in and around 1830-1839. My Cary's
appeared in 1830. Because the two people I am looking for (Jordan Cary born
1805 in Orange County and Kincheon Cary born a few years later in Orange
County) are not readily on that particular list it is believed (by two people
only) that they were not the same family. I recently have found proof that
they lived in the same area of the county. This is to close to not sound
like the same family. I live in Granville County and would be happy to
exchange research on any Cary from the above listed counties. In exchange, I
am searching for a family member of the MD/NC/Tenn Cary descendents of
William and Margaret Raglin Cary that came to Orange County, NC in 1795 that
would share the information on their descendents. There sons were Samuel,
Michael and George. I have contacted a family member that has a complete
list but he will not share it with me because since the two people I have do
not appear on the list it was regarded as not the same family and there was
no need. Will someone please help me? I have also been pulling all the info
on this family during their stay in NC and appear to be the only person in
the NC area that has the time and willingness to pull the info for other
people out of the state. Also, the info that I did find out never listed
any known descendents of George Cary. Does anyone know who is working on
that family? I really don't understand why my Cary's couldn't possible be
from his family or cousins of the Cary's that came from MD.
I would be most grateful,
Wendy Painter Randall
P.S.
I am a direct descendent of the Cary's of Orange County NC and I am extremely
familier with all of the homesites and graveyards.
