It's been a while so I thought that I would catch you up on what I've been up
to. Am in the process of getting Luther Cary's corrections off the film I got
from SLC. Did you ever look at it? I believe that it is different from what
you sent me as the page numbers don't match. It is film # 0564377and is
titled: Family Records of John Cary of Bridgewater, Mass 1610-1681 by Luther
F. Cary. It is item 2 on the roll. It is quite lengthy and he gives
additional info then what's in the PP (Plymouth Pilgrim) book. Also added
some names and gives dates that were lacking in the PP book and corrections
for other sections besides the 28-A one. I could not afford to copy the whole
thing at 30 cents a page so I'm going to pay the xtra amt. (abt. $6) and have
it at our FHC indefinitely so it will be on hand when and if I need to refer
to it in the future. It contains about 6 or so pages of indexed names for the
corrected section 28-A alone. Got the book The Cary Family in England today
on an inter library loan. They won't let it leave the building so I copied
all the pages pertinent to our line. At 10 cents a page was only $2-$3. Not
too bad. The book came from Witchita, KS. The PP book I had came from
Hastings, NE. Have been having a ball doing this family as there is so much
out there and I like sorting thru the good stuff and the garbage. I should've
been a researcher as I love that type of thing.
There is a lady in Aurora, CO. I found her at the FTM site. This is her page;

The Cary/Carey Family Home</A> . I e-mailed her and we have been
correspponding for about 3 wks.now. I told her about the info you sent and
she wants your e-mail address. I don't like to give it out without permission
so if you say I can give it to her then I will. She wants to start a Cary
Assoc. for our line. She said she has only sseen an assoc. froma different
line. She thinks we are her closest "cousins" in the line. She was born in
Carbondale.
Sent the info to Margaret Schimmel and got an answer from a Nance Dobbs from
Scranton.. She said she was answering for her aunt. I guess I asked her
questions because Nance said that they have no further info for me. I don't
remember asking any but if I did it was about James & Rebecca Green. She gave
me the name and address of a man who was made assistant historian at the Carey
Reunion in '95. She said that even if he doesn't still hold that office at
this time he will help me and would appreciate my input and to tell him she
gave me his name. It is:
ROBERT NAUGLE 4000 Wesley Lane Bowie, MD. 20715-1324
Will have to drop him a line and ask him if he knows anything about that part
of the line. Haven't been to the FHC in LA this month yet but will try to get
hubby to take me there Fri. Want to look up the GREEN's in Schyulkill County
and see if Christiana and James were brother & sister.
Well I guess this is long enough. Don't want to bore you.
Take Care
Bev
