Fellow Cary Listers:
Time for me to try again. My William was born around 1807-09 in County Mayo,
and he married Margaret KILROY, b. 1806-08. I think the marriage occurred in
Mayo, but know not where. They emigrated to Canada in 1829-30 and show up in
New York near Albany [a little town called Coeymans] around 1830. I've also
found them on the 1850 Albany County, NY Census [name mispelled CARY] as
follows: William, age. 40, b. Ireland; Margaret, age 43, b. Ireland; Patrick,
age 17, b. NY; Robert, age 17, b. NY; Richard, age 11, b. NY; James, age 9, b.
NY; and Anna or Ann, age 3, b. NY, and Ann, age 70 [presumably CAREY or
KILROY] b. Ireland. In 1854, they moved to a town in Wisconsin, Aurora by
name [later renamed Auroraville, and then later to a town called Berlin by
name [earlier Strongs Landing]. There they all resided until death.
Looking for any and all ancestors in County Mayo "or wherever", along with any
other linkages in the USA or Ireland. Many thanks in advance for any help.
With all good wishes,
/S/
