This brings up an important point. One that makes some people uncomfortable. But I
urge everyone, especially those with large collections to make arrangements to leave their
collections to a viable library, one with an interest in genealogy and healthy financial
resources. I also urge that the collections be kept up to date and arranged in a manner
so that they could readily be used by someone walking in off the street. If the
arrangement is difficult to decipher, then write up a finding aid and keep it with the
collection.

I would love to share info,, I have 20 years of in on Miles, Thomas,
and John Cary,, I have tried to share,, but it gets overwhelming,, I would like to see a
Cary Conference where we could go and spend the weekend sharing,,, but folks,, I have over
100 Cary books,, 3 file cabinets full,,
the other side of the coin is when someone who is a novice asks a question and you give
them the answer, they ask you to prove your info,, now you spend more time pulling
proofs,,
If we could all meet in Boston, New York, Washington DC, Dallas, Chicago, Los Angeles,,
we could get a lot of work done,,
