I'am looking for info on William Carey born May 17, 1805 in N.Y. or Pa. info is
conflicting. I have read where he is a descendent of the Careys who fought in the wyoming
massacre. William settled with his children in Springfield, Bradford County, Pa. I believe
after his first wife died between 1848 and 1850. I find him there in the 1850 census with
his children,; Dighton, Mahala, Harriet, Jason P., Joseph, and Sephrona. His second wife
being Matilda Parmenter, they had a daughter Sarah, and son William H.
Jason P. Carey settled with his family in Ulster, Bradford Co, was also in the war.
Joseph Carey my gggrandfather married Lovina Trask, they eventually settled in Fallbrook,
Tioga County, Pa. and have many descendents.
