LAST WILL OF MARTHA VICKERY 1894
The will of Martha Vickery may be found in wills of Iron County, Missouri, Volume B, pages

In the name of God, Amen.
I, Martha Vickery of the county of Iron in the state of Missouri, being of sound mind and
memory and knowing the uncertainty of this life do make, publish and declair this my last
will and testament.
1st I give and bequeath to my son, David COPPLE one bed quilt of the value of $5.00
2nd I give and bequeath to Louisa CARY, my daughter, one bed quilt of the value of $5.00
3rd I give and bequeath to my son, Richard VICKERY, two bed quilts of the value $2.00
4th I give and bequeath to my daughter Francis COLEMAN , one bed quilt of the value of
$2.00
5th I give and bequeath to my son Newland VICKERY one bed quilt of the value of $2.00
6th I give and bequeath to the children of my daughter, Catharine KNIGHT (now deceased) To
Wit: John GRIMES one glass or mirrow of the value of $1.00
7th I give and bequeath to Charles GRIMES the sum of .50
8th I give and bequeath to Charles GRIMES the sum of .50
9th I give and bequeath to William GRIMES the sum of .50
10th I give and bequeath to Harvey GRIMES the sum of .50
11th I give and bequeath to my grandson, Samuel GRIMES, the sum of .50
12th I give and bequeath to my granddaughter, Minnie JENKINS, one unfinished bed quilt of
the value of $2.00
13th I give and bequeath to Walter JENKINS one unfinished bed quilt of the value of $2.00
14th For services rendered and to be rendered I give bequeath to my son-in-law, Jesse
MCGLOTHLIN , his certain promissory note executed to me by him and dated August 19, 1893
for the sum of $50.00
15th I give and bequeath to my daughter Martha E. MCGLOTHLIN all the rest, residue and
remainder of my personal estate after payment of all my just debts.
16th I hereby nominate and appoint William J. COLEMAN my sole executor of this my last
will and testament hereby revoking all former wills by me made.
In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 22nd day of June in the year
of our Lors, 1894.

Be it remembered that on this 16th day of October in the year of our Lord one thousand
eight hundred and ninety four before me Judge and ex officio clerk of the probate court,
held in and for Iron County and state of Missouri, personally appeared S. L. Morris and
Belle Morris who being duly sworn on oath, depose and say that they were present and saw
Martha Vickery sign the foregoing instrument, purporting to be the last will and testament
of her the said Martha Vickery and that at the time of signing the same, the said Martha
Vickery was of sound and disposing mind, and that the deponents and Emmett Murphy the
other attesting witness subscribed there names thereto as witnesses to the same, in the
presence of the testator and of each other, and at the request of the said Martha Vickery
who died Sept. 22, 1894 at Annapolis, MO.

being duly sworn on oath, deposes and says that he was present and saw Martha Vickery sign
the foregoing instrument proporting to publish and declare the same to be her last will
and testament and that at the time of signing the same, the said Martha Vickery, was of
sound and disposing mind, and that the deponent and S. L. Morris and Belle Morris the
other attesting witnesses subscribed their names thereto as witnesses to the same in the
presence of the testator, and of each other, and at the request of the said Martha
Vickery, who died Sept. 22/94 at Annapolis, MO

same, do declare and adjudge said instrument to be the last will and testament of the said
Martha Vickery, late of Iron County, deceased.

Now at this day the court, proceeding to examine the instrument of writing purporting to
be the last will and testament of Martha Vickery, deceased, duly signed by the testator
and attested by the subscribing witnesses thereto, with the proof thereto annexed, do
adjudge and declare the said instrument of writing to be, to all intents and purposes, the
genuine last will and testament of the said Martha Vickery, deceased.

state of Missouri, hereby testify that the foregoing is a full, true and complete copy of
