I'm not sure if there is a connection but the Carey/Cary surname project has
a pedigree posted that includes a Charles Wesley Cary, born in Syracuse in
1885. He was the son of Wesley Cary. Although we do not have a paper
trail to show how they link, the close DNA match between the project members
has allowed this pedigree to be placed in a Lineage with that of another
project member whose paper trail takes him back to a John Cary born in
Bristol England in 1610 and who emigrated to Massachusetts. Based on an
analysis of the results, it is possible that the most recent common ancestor
for these two pedigrees lived in England. You can check them out at the
Patriarchs page at
http://www.worldfamilies.net/surnames/carey
There are contact details given on the page for both of the pedigrees.

I am a direct descendant of John Wesley Cary/Carey. My name is Susan Carry
Peterson and the name of my family tree is the Carry Cobern family tree. I
don't know if you need information, you can look at my tree and there is also
a great website
http://careyroots.com/careyenglish.html that will take you
back to 1170 AD in the Cary/Carey line. This line has been heavily
researched and there are many records of our european ancestors as many were
noblemen. Happpy researching!
Susan
