Sounds wonderful to me. What was the date of this article. Could this be
in reference to the knight, Richard Cary I believe is what I read, that
fought the Aragon and won.

Subject: [(Cary)] summer vacation plans for Carys
>From an old, undated newspaper clipping:
Parliament has decided that a speck of land at the southern end of the
Isle
of Man, though lying in British waters, is not subject to British
jurisdiction. Its owner, W.L.D. Cary, an American, landed there last
Thursday, and the American flag now flies over the island. The story goes
that an ancestral Cary centuries ago saved his King's life on the
battlefield, and this island, known as the Calf of Man, was given to him
and
his heirs forever, free and independent, as a reward. This is a
good
starter. It is only a question of time when England will be a summer
resort
for America.
