Interesting that the PALMERS and the CARYS were still connecting in the mid
1800's in New England. In my husband's direct line, Lucy PALMER m. Moses
CARY abt. 1760 in Connecticut.
Their son, Ebenezer PALMER CARY, b. 1761, was my husband's 5th
g-grandfather.

I've "rescued" an old intentions of marriage certificate for Benjamin F.
CARY and Sophia H. ROBINSON both of Sumner, Maine. The document is dated
13th of April 1846 and signed by the Town Clerk of Sumner, Abel FLETCHER.
Based on limited research I was able to locate the following information
regarding this couple and their families:
Benjamin Franklin CARY was b. 1822 in Sumner or East Sumner, Maine to
parents Bethuel CARY (b. 1793 in Turner, ME - a Physician) and Lucy
ROBINSON. Benjamin F. was one of 6 children born to this couple including,

ROBINSON
was b. 6 Nov 1823 in Sumner, ME to parents Leonard ROBINSON (1800-1871) and
Sophia Howland SAMPSON (1799-1865). Sophia was one of 4 children born to
this couple including, Sophia Howland; Maryette Tyndarett; Leonard
Spaulding; and John Henry ROBINSON, all born between 1823 and 1838.
Benjamin F. and wife Sophia ROBINSON were married on the 19th of April 1846
and later had 4 children including, Bethuel; Lizzie E.; Leonard R.; and
Lizzie E. CARY, all born between 1852 and 1868. Sophia ROBINSON CARY died
