LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT
Of David C. CARWILE
Breckinridge Co, KY 1854
Know all men by these presents that I, David CARWILE of Breckinridge County
and State of Kentucky being of sound mind, make and ordain this my Last Will
and
Testament to wit:
After paying my just debts and funeral expenses, I bequeath to my
beloved
wife Judith CARWILE all my Estate, both personal and real, to have and to
hold the
same during her widowhood, and at her death, my property both real and mixed,
I
wish to be equally divided amongst my children: William, Eliza, John,
Samuel,
George, Zachariah, and Mary, and my grand child John C. CARWILE, the son of
daughter Elouise Frances, all debts owing and that may be coming to me from
Virginia, I likewise Will to my wife as above directed. If at any time my wife
may
wish to give to any of my children or my grand child John C. CARWILE, any of
the
property, she may do so, after having the same valued by two disinterested
persons selected by herself so as to make all of my children, and grand child
afore
named equal in parsel of property. I further make and appoint my son William
D.
CARWILE, my Executor in witness whereof I hereby set my hand and Seal this
28th day of October 1854.

The above writing proposing to be the Last Will and Testament of David
CARWILE was produced in Court and Proven by the Oaths of Joshua H. THOMAS,
Jesse MOORMAN and Thomas OWEN Subscribing Witnesses thereto to the Last Will and
Testament of David CARWILE and ordered by the Court to be Recorded.

NOTE: David C. CARWILE died 20 Feb 1855. The debt owed from Virginia was
from his brother Zachariah CARWILE' s Estate. Zachariah had died in 1851
leaving each sibling approximately $526.00 which was a great sum in those days.
