Peter CARWILE [1805VA--1862KY] was the son of William CARWILE [1778--ca
1830TN]; William was the son of Rev War Veteran Jacob CARWILE, Sr.
[1751--1837] who died in Campbell Co, VA.
On 17 Nov 1830 Peter CARWILE married his first wife Sabra BRIMER in Jefferson
Co, TN. Sabra BRIMER [1805--bef 1840] was the daughter of Jesse BRIMER
[ca 1768--1814] and Eleanor ?
Jesse BRIMER served in the War of 1812 as a Private. He enlisted 14 Jun
1813 at Dandridge, in Jefferson County, Tennessee as a Private in the REGULAR
ARMY for a term of 5 years. He enlisted as a member of Doherty's Company,
7th Regiment of Infantry, USA. He was approximately 45 years of age at the
time he enlisted!!!!!
He died at Hiwassee Army Garrison on 10 Feb 1814 leaving a Widow and 9
children; 5 of them under age 14!!!
On 15 Aug 1818 and again on 15 Sep 1818 application was made for a Land Claim
for his 16 year-old son William BRIMER "son and other heirs at large" for a
Quarter-section of Land (160 Acres) under the authority of "May 6, 1812
Scrip-Warrant Act of 1812 (2 Stat 728). This Act granted land to the
Soldier or heir of soldier of an Army Veteran.
He was granted 160 acres in Linn County, Missouri under Land Patent #21254.
We have not been able to determine the parents of Jesse BRIMER, or his wife
Eleanor's maiden name!!!!!!
