MARY CARWILE 1946-1998 Mary Carwile, age 52 of Celilia died suddenly
Saturday, June 20 at Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown. Born March
10, 1946 in Breckinridge County, daughter of the late Samuel Damon Goins and
Lena Hopkins. She was a homemaker and attended the Baptist church. Survivors
include her husband, William Henry Carwile, Cecilia; two daughters, Amanda
Sue Carwile, Louisville, Angela Marie Carwile, Cecilia; two sons, William
Joseph Carwile, Big Spring, and Robert Paul Carwile of Flaherty; three
stepchildren, Linda Greenwell, Karen Hardsaw, Donnie Carwile, all of
Louisville; four sisters, Ruby Holman and Brenda Baker, of Irvington, Debbie
Moon, Texas, Shirley Orr, Louisville; one brother, Howard Goins of
Payneville. Also surviving are 5 grandchildren. The funeral was held on
Tuesday, June 23 at the Chapel of Alexander Funeral Home. Burial was in the
Cedar Hill Cemetery in Irvington.
Leslie Orville Osborne 1923-1997 Leslie Orville Osborne, age 74, of
Leitchfield, died Monday, October 13, 1997, at Twin Lakes Regional Medical
Center. Born May 12, 1923 in Breckinridge County, he was the son of James
Willis and Susan Elizabeth Wheatley Osborne. He was retired from General
Electric, was an Army veteran of WW II, and attended Clinton Street Church of
Christ. Surviving are his wife, Josephine Prewitt Osborne; a son, James Alien
Carwile, Clarkson; a brother, J.W. Osborne, Dale, IN; two sisters. Grace
Chancellor, Westview, and Alice Hale, Falls of Rough; and a granddaughter,
Tiffany Carwile, of Clarkson. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m.
Thursday, October 16 at the Ellis-Mayes Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Burial
will be in the Sand Knob Cemetery in Breckinridge County.

Delmer L. Carwile 1925-1997 Delmer L. Carwile, age 71, of Leitchfield,
passed away Wednesday, May 14, 1997 at the Grayson Manor Nursing Home in
Leitchfield. He was born in Leitchfield, October 15, 1924, a son of the late
J. M. and Stella Lewis Carwile. He was a retired quality control inspector
for American Standard, a Navy veteran of World War II, a member of the
Leitchfield American Legion and was a member of the Caneyville Christian
Church. He was preceded in death by his parents and one son, Roger Carwile.
He is survived by his wife, Wilma D. Shain Carwile of Leitchfield; one
daughter, Linda Embry of Caneyville; three grandchildren Terry Dewayne,
Joshua Matthew and Amanda Lin Embry; two great-grandchildren, Cortney Goff
and D.J. May. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Friday, May 16 at the
Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield with Rev. David Brown officiating. Burial
was in Deweese Cemetery.
