Pat:
The information I have on Nancy CARWILE and Alexander DANIEL was sent to me
by Virgil DYMOND. Before I received this info I had NO information on them.
My 2nd Great Grandfather married Mary DANIEL (d/o Peter DANIEL) in 1800 in
Campbell Co, VA.
In the 1787 Census of Virginia that was compiled from tax information there
are several DANIEL families in Campbell Co, VA. and Charlotte Co, VA;
adjoining counties. They are as follows:
Campbell Co, VA:
DANIEL, James; page 261, 269 (visited on 23 Apr 1787)
DANIEL, John; page 261, 270 (visited on 18 May 1787)
DANIEL, Peter; page 261,270 (visited on 18 May 1767)
DANIEL, Peter, Sr.; page 261, 269 (visited on 23 Apr 1787)
DANIEL, Richard; page 261, 270 (visited on 18 May 1787)
DANIEL, William; page 261, 269 (visited on 23 Apr 1787)
CARWILE, Jacob (father of Nancy?); page 254,269 (visited on 12 Jul 1787)
Charlotte Co, VA
DANIEL, Hezekiah; page 314, 330 (visited on 04 Apr 1787)
DANIEL, James; page 314, 330 (visited on 30 Mar 1787)
DANIEL, John; page 323, 333 (visited on 26 Apr 1787)
DANIEL, page William P.; 323,330 (visited on 19 Apr 1787)
CARWILE, William; page 314, 328 (visited on 12 Mar 1787)
NOTE: if Alexander was the son of a Charlotte Co, VA DANIEL family then Nancy
could have been the dau of William?????? But William CARWILE was an OLD man
in 1787!!!!!
You will notice that Alexander DANIEL is NOT listed, which means that he was
the son of one of these heads of households; probably in Campbell Co, VA.
You will note that there are TWO dates listed for each person. The first
one was in Alphabetical order and the second one was rearranged by date so
you could possibly determine neighbors on the list from the second page
numbers.
I hope this information is of some use to you.
