Seeking information on parents of Nancy CARWILE who married Alexander DANIELS
in Campbell Co, VA on 28 Mar 1805. Was Alexander DANIELS the son of Peter
DANIELS of Campbell Co, VA? We THINK Nancy CARWILE was the dau of Jacob
CARWILE, Sr. [1751--1837] of Campbell Co, VA.
Alexander DANIELS served in the War of 1812 from 02 Aug 1814 to 10 Dec 1814
and was Honorably Discharged at Norfolk, VA for disability. He died 05 Mar
1845 in Jackson Co, IL. His wife Nancy filed for Bounty Land on 05 Sep 1855
(File #WC4148) in Henry Co, IL. She filed again on 04 May 1872 in Davies
Co, MO (Post Office Gallatin) at age 82 for "War of 1812 Declaration of a
Wido for Pension". On 17 May 1872 she was issued a Land Warrant (#113.065)
for 160 acres by the Dept. of the Interior. On 18 Oct 1872 a certificate
listed Nancy's pension as eight dollars a month beginning 14 Feb 1871.
Only one child, Richard DANIELS is known to have been born to Nancy and
Alexander DANIELS. Richard was born on 09 Dec 1812 in Botnetourt, VA and
died 13 Jan 1893 in Cloud, KS. This information is from Info sent to me by
Virgil DYMOND of Mesa, AZ. Virgil is a descendant of Nancy and Alexander
DANIELS.
Any additional information on Nancy and Alexander will be appreciated.
