Many of you have asked about accessing the archived (old) posts. I will go
through the steps of how to do this, using the Bozeman list as an example -
you would substitute the name of the list you are wanting archived posts
from. Realize that some lists, such as the ones I manage, are set so that
only listmembers can retrieve archives for that list.
1) send a post to BOZEMAN-D-request(a)rootsweb.com with archive in the
subject line and LS volume97 as the message.
2) you will get back a list that has several columns of numbers like this:
-rw-rw---- 1 slist slist 10968 Jun 14 13:50 11
The only ones you need are the date - Jun 14 - and the last number, which in
this case is 11. That means that the archive for June 14 for the Bozeman
list is #11.
3) send a post to BOZEMAN-D-request(a)rootsweb.com with archive in the
subject line and get volume97/11 as the message.

Those of you on Larry Stephens' regional lists at
indiana.edu (our former
list home with Maiser) will recognize the rest of this post - I have his
permission to use it.
GOOD SUBJECT LINES really help - those who read a lot of mail as well as you
(because more people will read your mail). If you're responding to a message
and the subject has changed, then change it on the message.
==================
IF YOU NEED HELP AND I DON'T ANSWER, I - 1) didn't get the message; 2)
answered and you didn't get the message; 3) haven't read it yet; 4) did
something really stupid and accidentally deleted it. Please be patient and
try again after 24 hours.
