NATHANIEL NORVELL (born March 7, 1772, Virginia -died 1870, Holt
County, Missouri) married March 25, 1794 Nancy Ann Carvin. She was
the daughter of Sarah and William Carvin, II (died 1804), the son of
William Carvin born in Sulphur Springs, Virginia. Nathaniel served in
the War of 1812, he enlisted September 28, 1814 in the Volunteer
Mountain Gunman, under Captain Hutchings and Colonel Williamson.
