Job Carver was from the four Carver brothers who come with Wm. Penn.
moved to N.C.
--------------
There are at least three known men named Job in the Quaker Carver family.
Also, someone could jump to the conclusion that Job was the name of one of the
four brothers. So it should be pointed out that the four brothers (and
their exact relationship isn't proven to the satisfaction of some researchers)
who are said to have come over together were William, John, Jacob, and Joseph.
Job Carver (d. 1799) of Pasquotank County was a son of James Carver, Jr.,
son of James Carver, Sr., whom some consider a son of John Carver of St.
Albans, England, and Pennsylvania. I have seen one well-done genealogy of this
family, and another one which is rather poorly done. Regardless, as one wise
person of Cumberland County, NC, pointed out, there is little proof to back up
the accepted story about these four men. Documents are few and far between.
