Hello; Your post caught my attention. I am working my wifes maternal line and the Carver
family is a component of that line. I have traced back to Seth Carver (b. circa 1800 in
New Jersey) and Mary E. (b. circa 1802 Pennsylvania). I am wondering if this Seth could be
a son of the Seth you mention. The name and the fact that this Seth and Mary had many
children and the first group of them were born in Ohio. It appears Seth and Mary moved on
toward Chicago, IL and had several more children. One of these children was David A.
Carver who it seems may have married twice. The 1880 census shows him married to Margaret
but 3 of the children would have been to old for Margaret to have had (she was 23 and the
childre were 10 and older. David was 40) Anyway, their daughter Florence married Richard
Knoll and they were my wifes great grandparents. Does this sound like it could be
connected to the Carvers you have researched?
Thanks;
Lynwood "Lynn" Crow
