The Carver line is in Wilson, Jackson and Smith County a lot I know. I have
an Unknown Maiden Name Nancy married an Edmond Carver in Smith Co TN and she
had three children John Leer, Elizabeth and William Riley. John Leer went
to Illinois and they have a lot of the Carver history. Elizabeth married
Birdwell Law of Macon County and Have never found out what Happened to
William Riley. The Carvers were early settlers and lots of them. You might
want to trace the Draper name, I have found them intermarring in TN in
research. Do you know his 1st wife maiden name. Try finding if he had
siblings. That may help Cousins etc. Jeannie

John D. Carver was born in Tennessee in 1810. By 1841 he lived in Itawamba,
Miss. By 1850 he lived in Alabama and owned land there, signing a document
as JOHN DRAPER CARVER.
By 1868 his first wife, Frances had died and he re-married
Jolinda Shaw in Arkansas. Apparently he is a Tennessee Carver, but from
what family? I've been searching for his family for over 30 years. Any
help would be appreciated.
