Cathleen,
You say the father of Christopher is John b. 1657 and the father of John is John
b. 1687 and the father of John b. 1687 is Christopher b. 1705.
The wife of Christopher b. 1705 is Nancy Draper.
Christopher b. 1756 middle name was Christen.
Elizabeth Whisenhunt was born in 1766.
I was wondering if Roy Lee Carver and Jesse Ellen Pruitt gave you any sources
for this information? Was there any family stories to support this info? I have
looked at every family tree I can find on the John Carver of Hertforshire that
is online and I have never seen a Christopher listed as a son except on those
who have posted the line of Christopher b. 1756. I have looked at a lot of PA
records but not nearly as many as I would have liked and have never found a
record of a Christopher Carver b. 1705 in Lancaster Co. where Chris. 1756
entered service. The Chresten listed in a census record and that some have
listed as a child of Chirstopher 1756 is his wife Christena. Elizabeth Carver
wife of Chris. b. 1756 was born in 1775 according to all census. While I know
errors are made it is consistant on all census. I have tried looking for a
marriage for Chris. 1705 and Nancy Draper and have yet to find one. The only
connection I have found with Draper is with the Carvers in Person Co., NC. I
have wondered if there is a connection to that family in some way since there
are similar names but it is my understanding they came from VA. Going by memory.
I ask these questions because I have asked them many times before and have not
gotten answers. Info is taken from others that have posted it without
questioning. I have yet to get one source. No document, no family story, nothing
to prove anything beyond Christopher b. 1756. And I have read every tree listed
on him.
I think if it's purely speculation that they should say that. Not just post it.
I am not trying to admonish you but rather find the truth. I hope you will take
this in the friendly way I mean it.
Dianne Taylor
