I have also been told that I am a direct descendant of John Carver from the Mayflower. My research has indicated that there are no direct descendants due to the fact that John and Katherine had no surviving offspring. I have heard of the nephew, Robert Carver. Perhaps this is a possibility. I am interested in information you may have proving that there is a surviving blood line. My Grandmother is Della Kriebel Carver (maiden name) and our family is settled in and around Lansdale, PA.
If anyone has any information regarding Carvers from there, please write.
Thank you,
Karen

William Carver was born about 1810 in NC. He had moved to Pickens Co.
AL. by the 1820's. He evidently married in the early 1830's in Pickens
Co. His wife's name is unknown. They had the following children:
1) Mattie Carver, b. 1832, Pickens Co. AL.
2) James G. Carver, b. 1834, Pickens Co. AL, died in Civil War.
3) George W. Carver, b. 1837 in Pickens Co., AL and he died in the
Civil War.
4) William Martin Carver b. April 14, 1839 in Choctaw Co. MS, d.
December 11, 1911 in Webster Co. MS. On January 3, 1861, he married
Lucy Ann Calaway, daughter of Benjamin Turpin Calaway and Sabrina Coker.
5) Laura Carver. b 1842 in Choctaw Co. MS.
6) Marion Carver, b. 1844, Choctaw Co. MS, died in the Civil War.
William Carver died around 1854 in Choctaw Co. MS. Does anyone know
when he died and where he is buried? Does anyone know the name of his
wife? Would like to correspond with any descendants of William
Carver. Will be glad to share what family information I have.

I have discovered my husband's great-grandfather, Thomas William CARVER, in
the 1850 census records for Barren County, Kentucky, but he is living with
the family of Mary Margaret Wheeler, whom he later married. The farm next to
the one on which he worked has a family named Carver, with only the mother,
Margaret, age 44, and three daughters living with her: Ellender (?) J (17),
Mary F. (20), and Olivia (15). Does anyone know if this Thomas CARVER, then
age 18, and Margaret CARVER are related? I am hoping they are mother and
son, but don't know how to prove it.
Also, Thomas' son gave his father's birthplace as Tennessee, but in this
census record it is given as Kentucky.
Hi All,
I am looking for info on Delilah Robinson who married Benjamin Carver
in Rutherford County, North Carolina in 1810.
There is a Delilah Carver listed on the 1830 census of Carter County,Tennessee; She is living next door to a Rueben Carver, whom I believe to be her son and the brother of Josiah Carver listed on the
1840 census of Tuscaloosa Co.,Al.and the 1850 census of Pickens Co.,
Al. Josiah's oldest son was named Rueben. Any help greatly appreciated.
Anna

I'm sorry, I can't help you - but I, too, am looking for a John Carver. The only info I have on him is as such:
John Carver
| Anna Edith Carver
| bd. 28 May 1889
| dd. 24 Jan 1945
| brd. Pendleton United Baptist Cemetery, Doe Run, MO
| & Walter Jewel Thomure
| bd. 10 Oct 1881, Ste. Genevieve Co, MO
| dd. 26 Jul 1936, St. Francois County, MO
| brd. Pendleton United Baptist Cemetery, Doe Run, MO
You can KINDA guess when he might have been born according to his daughter's birthdate. I do not know who he married, but I have been told she was full-blooded Cherokee. Whether or not that's true, I don't really know.
Thanks

I'm researching Carver family from Missouri. Frank Carver and Rose Gibbons-Carver (my paternal grandparents) listed in the 1920 and 1930 census in Fredericktown, Missouri. Children were Louisa Josephine b.1920, John Wesley b.1924, Raymond b.1926, Frank B b.1929, Ernest Lee b.1932, James, and Leila. Ernest Lee Carver is my father, born in St. Louis, Missouri. Census listed Frank Sr's father as born in Illinois, mother born in Missouri. Family moved to Southern California sometime in the 1950s, I believe. Have more information on Carvers (Missouri) and Gibbons (Colorado) if anyone is also searching. Would love to hear from anyone with any info at all.

Dear Deb,
This is most unusual. I received a reply today from Paul Carver whose family is from Midsomer Norton. Are you related? My family was from Buckland Dinham. Are Croscombe and Ubley near Buckland? My great-great grandmother was a Maggs from Clutton, Somerset. My great grandfather was John Carver (1842-1912) and his father was Aaron Carver (b. 1812). My line of the family moved to South Wales in the 1840s, then emigrated to America in 1864. They settled in Pennsylvania, then moved to West Virginia. My mother, Carolyn Carver, is from West Virginia. We live in Charlotte, NC.
