Would Willis Henry Carver be connected to Capt. Wills Carver of Tremont, Maine who was married first to Nancy Flye and second to Sally Emory? Capt. Wills Carver is my husbands gr. gr. grandfather and I can't seem to find out anything about him. If there is a connection I would appreciate anything that you know and I would be willing to share the little I know about him.

Hello all,I am new to the CARVER list.
I do believe Frances J.Carver is my great great aunt,
Frances Jannett Langdon, daughter of William and Sarah
Rockett Langdon. I am interested in any information
that may help me prove this.
I would assume that if William is actually 22 years
old that they would not have been married long.
Would there have been many churches in Taunton in
1880?They would not be Catholic as far as I know.
I need a starting point.
Thanking you in advance.
Nan

Nathan Branch Carver was the son of Amos and Susanna Carver of Jay, Maine. Nathan was born 11-23-1807 in Jay, Me. Nathan was married to Nancy Blake who was born April 20, 1816. They moved to Lee Maine in March 30, 1832 along with four other Carvers from Jay. I believe that both of them died in Lee, Maine and are also burried there....Hope this helps a little bit..Merle
Searching for descendants of Frank CARVER b: August 1891, Shelby County, Alabama. He was the son of Daniel CARVER and Harriett DENNIS STEERS. I was told that he married a woman from Illinois. He supposedly bought a car, loaded up his family and moved away from Alabama. No one knows where he moved or what happened to the family. Surely would appreciate information on Uncle Frank and family.
I am searching for a Daniel CARVER who was supposed to be born in Maine/ parents/sibblings unknown. The approximate date of birth would have been about 1834. He was in Shelby County, Alabama, where he married a widow, Harriett DENNIS STEERS on February 28, 1878. She had two little girls; Lilly and Flora. He was last found on the Shelby County Al census for 1880. He and Harriett had four sons; William Daniel, Horace Ludlow, Jesse C. and Frank. Daniel either died or left the area. We have no information as to what happened to him or where he might have gone. Harriett and the children were still in Alabama.
Still looking for grandfather's mother Sarah was married to C.R.Anderson. Son Charles Porter Anderson born in 1858-9. Think in NY Charles married in Iowa in 1892. Thanks for any help. June
