waipili Thank you so much for your help you have no idea what this means... I am truly at
a loss as what to do next in my research. I have been trying anything I possibly can for
the past 5 months and hittin that brick wall is startin not to sting so bad if you get my
drift :p
So I am going to ask. If my GGrandmother in Hawaii South Hilo at one point to be exact was
married to Rufino Carvalho in 1904 there are now no records to show for this (but they are
in the Ukalala electronic library)
How the heck can I find out any real historic information? There are no birth records for
my Grandmother or any of my GAunts and they all changed their names I know my Grandmothers
true name but I have run across different spellings in her baptismal certificate as well
as the marriage record. Mercy I give what would you do in this case sweetie cause I havent
a clue where to start. I have no idea who they were when they got there...nothing. What
books are you suggesting I would love to get copies of these books..
Maybe Im am just being to diligent in the search and overlooking or examining to closely
all these records cause when I think I may have a hit the years dont even match up.
Example Maria Martins supposedly had a child by Rufino Carvalho...the year I just noticed
1901, they werent married till 1904 she was supposedly born in 1890 that would make her 11
at the time of birth! See my problem, my research is fizzling
Oh yes supposedly (how I found this out Ill never know) if this helps Maria Martins mom
was Maria Jesus Almeida who was married to John Martins Peca
