We are getting new members all the time, so please be patient as the
list builds up. I will post my Caruthers information when I have some
time. Members might want to re-post every two weeks or so, as new
members join. Caruther/Carruthers is not a common name so it takes
awhile for a list to build up, unlike my Allen list where I get two or
three new members a day. Every time a member joins they bring new
information with them. I expect this list to be about the same size
as my McDermitt/McDermott rootsweb list, about 40 plus members in a few
months. I know I do not have time to constantly check out post I have
posted last year on my several surnames. This way they come to you. Some
one on the Allen list notified me of two post on Genforum recently
concerning one of my ancestors, it turned out to have very good
information I needed.
I have only about three rules: no commercial, political, or religious
post and no petitions.
It helps if a state abbr. (country if outside USA) is put in the subject
box along with some sort of date and name. I know room is very limited.
This helps people who have a lots of post wade through their email
without having to go into every message, if it is not of interest to
them they can delete. Then a more accurate and local region can be put
in message along with a more accurate date if needed. Put in enough data
to increase your chances of getting a hit.
