b. TN; Martha L. @ 21, b. TN; Nancy P. @18, b. TN; Thomas @ 45, b. NC; and
my
2) gr-grandfather, Henry Brown Cartwright at 22 yrs. of age, b. 5/30/1828,
Polk Co., TN near Chattanooga, d. 5/3/1911 of pneumonia/Dr. Bronson at 82
yrs. in Edgewood, Van Zandt Co., TX, buried Oak Hill Cemetery (?); m.
Margaret Ann Whisenhunt, b. 7/27/1832 near Atlanta, GA, d. 9/1/1875 in
Edgewood, Van Zandt Co.,TX; buried there in Rock Hill Cemetery. Margaret's
mother was Susanna Collins, b. 1809, SC; Susanna's mother may be
McVigors/McVickers. Margaret Ann's father was George Whisenhunt,b.1803, NC.
They had 9 children:

town by wife, Jodie Williams, d. 11/10/1912 with 5th child, still born son
and buried by my GRANDFATHER. Geo. Marion and Jodie had 4 living child.

Frances?) Smith, b. 1847 ? Al, m. (Smith Co., TX) Fanny d. near Wills
Point, Van Zandt Co., TX. She m. at 15, died at 45 yrs. They had 15
children. Only the 1st and last in correct birth order. The Williams
children were named after their father's siblings, some of mother's
relatives. (1870 census for Van Z. Co., list Martha as 23 yrs, Geo. as 38
yrs.)

Sibyl Creasey, adm. of Van Z. Co., website, David and H.B. Cartwright signed
up with the first company organized in that county for the Civil War. It
was a vol. Cavalry company, one of Anderson Whetstone's companies. They
signed up at Mustang, Van Z. Co. as privates.

I do believe we may be related? My gg-grandfather was Francis Marion
Cartwright. He was born in October 1876 in Ohio, and died in 1935. His
wife was Mable Mae Might. SOme of the names you mentioned in your E-Mail
are similiar to the family. Here is an abbreviated version of what I know:
