There are several mentions of the Ship Submission sailing.
Bear with me while I rummage through my records. I also have John
Cartmell listed as Master of another ship and as him having taken skins
and tobacco as cargo over to Whitehaven and of course bringing folks
back when he came.
Whitehaven would be an excellent port of embarkation for those living in
the far north of Lancashire. I hadn't considered it as a possibility for a
port of exit, assuming Liverpool (much further south) to be _the_ port for
Lancashire.
