I hope that all of you have had the chance to go and see all
the new information I have added in the last week. Now I am
getting to the bottom of the pile I have here at home. So I
am depending on you to send more for me to add. I am going
to start adding bits and pieces to the "Latest" section. This
will include just little slices of mystery information that I
have hanging around here. If you recognize any of the newer
information or can identify who is who please write via the
mailing list. Please remember when you are out at the library
that we need as much information as we can get on the site.
I know that at least 60% of the data I have added is not
connected to my line but I have collected in hopes that it
will help someone else.
One of the latest finds for me was that I have found the
John Cartmill that married Mary Scott 1799 KY. Many researchers
had listed him as the son of Thomas and Mary Warwick Cartmill. Now
we know he was not, but was the son of John Cartmill d. Harrison County,
KY in 1808 and Susannah Ward. My John was the son of Thomas and Mary
as I had asserted. He married Rebecca Hendricks Bath Co. KY 1822
d. abt. 1858 DeWitt County, IL. John that married Mary Scott was
one of the early settlers of Shelby Co., IN. Lived the rest
of his life in IN. If anyone else has information from KY. I
am still looking for the family of the above Rebecca Hendricks.
She was born about 1803-1808 NC or SC but her family must have
lived in or around Bath County, KY since that is where John Lived.
I hope that I will hear from some of you soon.
