Hi
I have noted your search for Sarah Cartledge and John Armitage born Warrington 1818 with
interest, as both names appear in my family tree.
Sarah Ellen Cartledge (b March 1852 Warrington)married Thomas Woodman (b 1852 Warrington)
in December 1868. They had the following children:
Benjamin (1871Warr)
John (1873 Warr)
David (1875 Warr)
Margaret (1876 Warr)
Mary (1878 Warr)
Walter (1880 Warr)
The John Armitage in my tree is often listed in the census as being born in 1818.
There is a birth record for a John Armitage in Warrington on 03 October 1817 to John and
Margaret Armytage of Bridge Street, Warrington.
Records show that John senior died in 1837 (aged 41) and Margaret (Peggy) in 1838 (aged
49).
John junior (1817) I believe to be my GGGG Grandfather, who was a clockmaker in
Warrington. He married Ellen Hayes/Heyes (1821 Warr) on 29 September 1839 at St Paul's
Church Warrington and they had the following children (all born Warrington):
William (1840)
David (1843)
Margaret (1848)
Thomas (1852) (see above link to Sarah Cartledge)
Mary (1854)
Hannah (1857)
Ann (1860)
Please let me know how the above fits with your tree and your links.
Regards
H
