Hi,
In reading your em, I noticed that you said the Carters came from PA to
NC. Would you know where in PA and would you happen to know if they are
descendants of Rev. Thomas Carter, who was a minister in MA or CT in the
late 1600s. Also, my husband's maternal grandmother was a Carter from
NC. Her name was Francis Carter and she married a Rev Alfred McMaster.
She was probably born around 1889/90 and died before 1943 (to the best of
my knowledge). The only other thing (other than her children's names) I
know about her is that she had a sister Edna Carter Jones. It is my
understanding that they may have been from around Oxford, NC, although
Francis lived and died in Greensboro.
Thanks for taking time to read this.
