I guess I didn't read far enough before I sent the last note. With a name
like Patrick stuck in there you might want to look also at the
Carter-O'Quinn connections. If this is the case He is one of the Isle of
Wight Carters although I thought they all were in NC and SC long before he
was born. I have found several marriages back and forth with them, Jackson
Carter and Martha O'Quinn being one of them. They were my third great
grandparents. That is all I know about them but there were Carter O'Quinn
marriages further back also--not in my direct line. Patrick was reportedly
the name of our first O'Quinn ancestor.
