Hi Dick,
We corresponded a long time ago but couldn't make any connections then. When was your
John Carter born and where? If you know that maybe it will help someone to help you more.
I only have a John Carter b. about 1841 and no wife or children for him. I do hope some
one will be about to point you in the right direction soon.
By the way were your Carters some of the ones that went from Cumberland Co., Kentucky in
the late 1840s to Warrick Co., Indiana?

Martha... I noticed your letter to Anne... I have been searching for a John Carter Jr for
at least 35 years. Or, rather, I should say for his parents... The best lead I have is a
John Carter, who married a Nancy Williams sin Cumberland in 1904... "My" John
was born 1-2-1813.Her married an Eliza Nutterfield, born 5-26-1810, about 1828.... He had
a Brother Jobe, who was "Deaf And Dumb."... His children were Margaret,
Elizabeth, Nancy, Lucy, Alonzo, Gholson, John S., Ludwell, Calvin, Matilda, Columbia, and
Morris...Do any of these names "Ring a Bell?".. Would appreciate any help you
might be able to give me...
Thanks.
