Login to the FamilyTreeDNA website using your Kit Number and secret
Password.
Go to the "Setup Preferences" tab. The "Setup Preferences" tab is at
the
top, above the tab "GEDCOM - Family Tree" where you upload your GEDCOM file.
You should see the option "Please choose your preference for matching
purposes:" with the following two choices.
- "I want to restrict the display of matches only to my Surname Project"
- "I want my matches to be set against the entire database."
