Hi Carter Listers,
I just found an index to the George Rodgers Clark Papers! How did I find that, you say?
Well, I was perusing the name Shadrack Carter on the LDS family search site and this index
came up! It has these Carters listed:
Carter, Capt. 9-664
Carter, E. 10-671
Carter, Job 9-720
Carter, Miot 5-132
Carter, Shadrack 10-767
Carter, Thomas 3-624, 3-690, 3-690
Carter, William 6-707
Cartier (sic), Pierre 2-666
Cartier (sic), Shradrack (sic) 5-382
The first number is the microfilm reel number and the next number refers to the first
frame number for the document, which has the name. A document may contain more than one
reference for a name or subject. The name of subject may appear or may not appear on the
first frame of the document.
This index to the G. R. Clark Papers was paid for by the Society of Colonial Wars in the
State of Illinois and the Sons of the Revolution in the State of Illinois.

I believe that this is an important find for those who have Carters in the Hardin Co., KY
area, since George Rogers Clark was there and many of those who fought with him or under
his direction would have gone with him or to be with him in Hardin Co.
